Yesterday, while looking trough some magazines an article caught my eye- "One Year Without Shopping". Two young women were talking about their decision not to go shopping for an year and what they are going trough. The one has taken a drastic decision and started right on the next day, the other hit the stores one more time before her fasting from fashion begun.
While reading and even now I can't really decide what my opinion about the NOTshopping is. My first reaction was: "I could never do that!", but then- I find it's a really interesting experiment. What will I do in the "shopping free" time? What will I do with THE MONEY I didn't spend on bags, shoes, etc.?
At times I really want to try, but then I feel scared... the forbidden fruit, you know. What if in two weeks I loose my sleep over a belt or an accessory? What if I find something I really really REALLY wanted... on SALE? What if I snap?
The decision weather to start such an experiment with myself, my psyche and my spirit may become one of the the most thought-out decisions I have ever made. At times I feel scared and don't really want to put myself trough something like this, but then- the idea of challenging and provoking myself is really tempting...
What is your opinion about the shopping fast? Have you ever tried it? Do you thing it is worth it?
I'd be really glad if you share your experiences and thoughts on the shopping vs NO-shopping theme with me :)
Ever since I saw a Jordi Labanda pen and pencil I haven't seen any other that I like more. Pretty expensive (at least in Bulgaria- where I buy mines) but so so so pretty and comfortable to write with. Today I found the last one that I have bought but with no ink in it. :( Then buy a new refill!!!- you'd say. Mhmmm, that's what I will do, but I'd really feel better if I know I can buy me another one with a new design. As I said- obsession!
I spend some time searching where I can buy a new one in Germany... didn't found anything helpful, but the video below.
HERE the official site of the talented Jordi Labanda.
Summery of the week: TOO MANY PEOPLE LEFT (ME). Some temporary, some forever.
The past two weeks were pretty crazy, much beautiful memories were made. But as you all know we couldn't appreciate the good moments if there were no bad ones. So you can say that good and bad go hand in hand. Not a pleasant truth but it is not always rainbows and butterflies.
What brightened my day: Today is one of my closest friend's last day in Stuttgart for this summer, so we decided to celebrate it by going out, having something delicious to eat, talking, reminiscing, you know- the stuff that bffs do. I have no idea how the conversation got in that direction, but in the end she was retelling me a scene from GNTM where the models were swimming... with pigs. So I was like: "WAAAAAT???". Don't get me wrong- I LOVE pigs. I just never knew they can swim.
By the time I got back home she had send me a link to that scene... so I decided to share it with all of you who didn't see it, or want to see it again (and again), who love pigs or like to watch models while they're swimming :D.
A week ago was the Lichterfest (fireworks-and-lights-show) at the Killesberg park in Stuttgart. I never had the chance to see it before so I was really really excited to be there this year. AMAZING!!! If by chance you happen to be in Stuttgart on the day of the Lichterfest (and you love fireworks, lights, sparkles and outdoor picnic alike events), you should definitely go. I recommend it wholeheartedly. You Will Love It!
I made three videoclips... which are great, BUT I won't show you because all of my "Ooooooh", "Woooow", "Aaaaaaah", "Hoooooooou", "AMAZING!", "I love iiiiiit!", "THAT'S my favorite... and THAT... oooooooh and THAT too!", "Sparkleeeeeeeeeees!".
Yesterday I had the pleasure to visit the palace of Ludwigsburg. Such an amazing place! The tour took more than two hours and I couldn't stop taking pictures so I can take a peace of this beauty with me. The colors, patterns and materials, the furnishing- everything was in its place and had its interesting story.
In the spirit of the day I decided to wear a necklace I bought on sale the other day. It really matched the scene. :)
